Introducing the Solitude AV-X TM The New Solitude AV-X TM Noise Reduction Pilot Headset is a headset that can isolate offset and cancel noises. Using our proprietary noise-cancelling algorithm, we can now offer the same excellent noise cancellation that you have come to enjoy with our non-aviation Solitude TM models with our AV-X TM model. In comparison with other conventional and ANR headsets, it can, under noisy circumstances, provide a quieter and more comfortable sensation, by reducing background noise. Therefore, making it possible to improve the telecommunication quality and articulation, resulting in a higher operational safety factor. The noise cancelling circuitry reduces outside noise considerably more than a standard headset, making it more comfortable for the pilot in the aircraft. This combined with our “fail safe”, pass though mode, ensures that the headset will still allow normal communication even with loss of battery power for the ANR, This technology, combined with the military grade, award winning Cobra TM microphone, originally developed for the Blackhawk helicopter, ensures that all your communication needs are clear, concise, and easy to understand. The Cobra TM Microphone Features and Benefits: Dramatic Noise Reduction The Cobra TM has an average 10dB improvement over the M-87 with a maximum of 30 db improvement in average speech bandwidth. Ideal for High Noise Environments Suited for use in car racing, any aviation and many military applications. The Cobra’s TM patented noise rejection performance surpasses all passive or active microphonic systems including 2-port, 2-active and array microphone designs. The difference is particularly pronounced in high noise levels. The Best Speech Intelligibility The Cobra’s TM proven technology improves intelligibility scores to 82% in noise levels of 105 db compared to 72% for the M-87 noise canceling microphone.
